Andy is briefed on all aspects of commercial law and has particular experience in trade practices in relation to technology vending.
Prior to coming to the bar, he advised on a wide range of compliance and administrative matters at Centrelink and was involved in cash economy, compliance and over-payment and fraud litigation.
He was then recruited to one of Australia’s leading retailers as internal advisor on compliance and trade practices matters in relation to technology vending.
Andy also has experience in patents and broad intellectual property issues which have an information technology focus.
Throughout his undergraduate years, Andy worked voluntarily at various institutions including the Eastern Legal Service and the Environment Defender’s Office in Melbourne where he assisted in case management and appeared in supporting roles at tribunal hearings.
Andy was also a member of the editorial committee of the Deakin Law Review.
Appointments:
Occasional WTO delegate to East Africa as Law Analyst.
As a delegate for the WTO, Andy reported widely on matters of law and economy correlations in East Africa, with particular emphasis on Uganda and has made appearances before stakeholder panels in relations on investment and law strategies.
