Before coming to the bar, John practised as a solicitor in Geelong for three years, practising mainly in the areas of Crime, Road Traffic, Crimes (Family Violence), Children's Court and Corporations Law. John was an investigator with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (formerly the Corporate Affairs Commission) for 19 years. He is also a qualified accountant and, prior to entering legal practice, was an Associate of the Australian Society of CPAs.
